Do We Really Have to Live With Allergies?

It seems as though we are faced with some kind of “allergy” at every turn. Peanut allergies, milk allergies, pollen allergies, allergies to this, and that. What is the deal? Did you know that at least 50% of all children in the United States are allergic to cow’s milk, many undiagnosed? Dairy products are the leading cause of food allergy, and it is often revealed in the form of diarrhea, constipation and fatigue.  Many cases of asthma and sinus infections are reported to be relieved and even eliminated by removing dairy from the diet. Most infant formulas are made with dairy whey and are derivatives of dairy products and by-products. By feeding these products to your infants, you are inundating their systems with allergy-causing ingredients. There is a correlation between milk products and ear infections and abnormal growth in children. “A large percentage of the cows producing milk are pregnant and throwing off hormones continuously.  Progesterone breaks down into androgens, which have been implicated as a factor in the development of acne” (Fischer, 2013). There is evidence that vaccinations can also be contributors to allergies as well as other childhood illnesses and even death.

The condition of our food and the sources from which it comes today is not what it used to be even 20 years ago. The petroleum and chemical companies have large monopolies on pesticides and growth enhancing chemicals which are used in order to increase the farmers’ yield and create uniformity in our produce, grains, and other elements of the American diet.  For this reason, it is more important than ever to stay away from things that we know are polluted and will cause harm to our bodies. Be vigilant about what is put into your body. Take a little time to research the ingredients and processes involved in making the “food” you eat every day.

There are some natural ways to alleviate allergies and eventually get rid of them altogether. One step everyone should take is a simple and rather inexpensive one. Twice a day, take a Tbls of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (Braggs is a good brand) with a Tbls. Of local honey, in a cup of warm water.  Drink this faithfully.  It is a delightful beverage and will act as your first line of defense.  If you are serious about ridding your body of allergies, start with a nice 3-5 day cleanse.  When you complete the cleanse, purpose in your mind and heart to put nothing in except that which is alive.  That means NO processed, pasteurized, or otherwise DEAD food. Allow yourself to develop a taste for real food, fresh fruits instead of sugary sweets, vegetables from the garden or local farmer’s markets, make teas, and eat nut butters instead of dairy. Within weeks you will find your body is stronger, more vital, your mind more alert and…. Low and behold… your allergies aren’t acting up!  Give it a try… you won’t be disappointed.
